Surō

Surō is a set of dining tools that is designed for Kki, a cake cafe to help them promote their branding such that consumers will understand and appreciate the value of Kki’s cakes through encouraging slow movement.

Slow movement : advocates a cultural shift toward slowing down life’s pace.

This is achieved through breaking down the eating process into four steps thus enhancing the experience of 2 to 4 people. The four steps are marking, cutting, serving and eating in chronological order.

Slow movement is a way of living that allows us to get in touch with what is deeply satisfying and fulfilling.

Through the process of taking the appropriate amount of time to experience the consumption of the cake or ambience of the place will allow us to truely enjoy and appreciate the cake.

Why is this meaningful to Kki?

Kki’s pride is their cakes which are handcrafted with outmost craftmanship. Every cake is almost like a form of art work.

It is therefore not pleasant to see consumers gobble down the cakes upon purchase.
